I listen, help set goals, and assist with change
I first became a substance use counselor in 2011 while working with the Nebraska Department of Corrections. I then obtained my mental health license in 2014. I currently hold an LIMHP (#1984) and LADC (#1014) with the State of Nebraska. I am specifically trained in treatment of trauma, Critical Incident Stress, Addictions and have extensive experience working with adults who have been involved in the criminal justice system.
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Active Listening to help clients achieve their therapy goals. Goals are determined together and then I provide resources to help the client achieve those goals.
